So, those relaxing weekends I intend to have always somehow end up being super busy.
Friday night, we went to dinner with some great friends of ours. They are such a sweet couple and have the two most adorable children. It is always nice to be able to go to dinner with someone who understands what having children is like. They by no means find it weird that Kennedy eats things off the floor, spills her drink all over the table, or steals her friends food because mommy forgot to pack snacks (we'll pay you back, Kel).
Saturday day was so relaxing. We laid around and then went to solve some issues at The Dump. Long story short, last weekend we bought a beautiful bedroom suite. Come Monday, they delivered our King bedroom suite. Great, right? Well it would be if we didn't have a CALIFORNIA King. Want to know what else is great? They don't actually carry California King furniture, so we will no longer be getting our furniture from there. Oh well, just wasn't meant to be.
There was ONE exciting thing that came from our adventure to The Dump. I ran into one of my high school (and current) best friends parents. I hadn't seen them in YEARS and it was so great to catch up.
Saturday night, my brother, my nephew and my brother's girlfriend came over for dinner and games. I attempted to make Kyles mom's lasagna (you can never cook as good as your husband's mom) #justsaying. We played Catch Phrase, which will never get old. Also, we got to have some great quality time with my nephew, Cayden. He is the sweetest little boy and at such a fun age!
Today, we went to church and just kinda laid around. Sunday's are definitely my favorite day of the week, except for the fact that the next day is Monday. I met two really sweet girls at church today and am excited to get to know some people better. We have still been visiting churches and haven't really settled on one place, but I am ready!
Kennedy had a few cute moments to note this weekend:
1. She has learned how to say 'thank you', except it sounds nothing like 'thank you' and she just walks around and says it randomly. The only reason I know that is what she is trying to say is that every time I say it, she starts saying it and won't stop. So cute.
2. On Saturday night I went into her room to check on her and I startled her. She instantly threw her hand up in the air and started waving. Her eyes were halfway open and she absolutely had no idea what she was doing, but it was hilarious/precious.
Here are a few pictures from the weekend, enjoy!
